Hanga Roa is a small town located on the south-western tip of the Chilean island of Rapa Nui, also known as Easter Island. It is the largest town and the only port on the island, as well as the administrative and commercial hub of the Rapa Nui National Park. The town has a population of about 3,000 people and is the only settlement on the island.

Hanga Roa is situated in a small valley, surrounded by the ocean on one side and the extinct volcanoes of the island on the other. The town has a mild subtropical climate, with temperatures ranging from 17°C to 25°C throughout the year.
