Abidjan is the largest city in Ivory Coast, located on the country's south-eastern coast. It is the economic and cultural capital of the country, and is home to approximately 4 million people.

The rainy season runs from April to July, with the heaviest rains in June, and the dry season runs from August to March. During the dry season, temperatures are slightly cooler, with the coolest temperatures occurring in December and January. The hottest months are March and April. Humidity is generally high throughout the year, but is slightly lower during the dry season.
