Barren Island

Barren Island is an island located in the Andaman Sea, off the coast of India in the Indian Ocean. It is the only active volcano in South Asia and is part of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The island is about 3 km in diameter and rises 354 meters above sea level.

The island is uninhabited, but it is home to a large number of seabirds, including the brown noddy, the white-bellied sea eagle and the brown booby. It is also a popular spot for scuba divers, who come to explore the rich coral reefs and abundant marine life.
