Lombok is an island located in the West Nusa Tenggara province of Indonesia. It is situated east of Bali and west of Sumbawa, and is part of the Lesser Sunda Islands. Lombok is the second largest island in the province, with an area of 4,725 km2 (1,826 sq mi). The island is home to a population of around 3.5 million people, the majority of whom are Muslim and speak the Sasak language.
