The volcano is about 926 meters (3,038 feet) above sea level, with a base diameter of about 7 kilometers (4.3 miles). It is roughly conical in shape and its crater is located at the summit. The volcano is composed of two peaks, the older, “Punta del Corvo” (“Crow’s Point”) and the younger, “Punta della Sciara” (“Slope Point”).
