Poole is a large coastal town in Dorset, England, located on the south coast of Great Britain. It is situated in a sheltered location on the eastern side of Poole Harbour, the second largest natural harbour in the world. The town has a population of over 150,000 people and is the second largest town in Dorset after Bournemouth.
Poole is a historically significant town, with evidence of settlement dating back to the Iron Age. The town was first mentioned in the Anglo-Saxon Chronicle in 833 AD and was a major port in the Middle Ages.
