Karrat Fjord is a long, narrow inlet located in northeastern Greenland. It is a branch of the Uummannaq Fjord, and is located on the east coast of the island, just south of the Arctic Circle. The fjord is approximately 60 kilometers (37 miles) long and is lined with steep cliffs and glaciers that reach heights of up to 3,000 meters (9,843 feet).
Karrat Fjord is an important area for wildlife, including seals, whales, and seabirds. It is also home to a number of archaeological sites, which provide evidence of the area’s long history of human habitation.
