Eyjafjörður is a large fjord in the north of Iceland. It is located in the northern part of the country, and is bordered by the mountain range of the Tröllaskagi Peninsula to the east and the Westfjords to the west. The fjord is approximately 50 kilometers long and up to 4 kilometers wide, with a maximum depth of around 120 meters.
Eyjafjörður is the fourth largest fjord in Iceland, and is home to many small fishing villages and towns. The largest town in the area is Akureyri, which is the second largest urban area in Iceland.
