Bantry Bay

Bantry Bay is a large natural harbour located on the south-west coast of Ireland, in the county of Cork. It is a popular tourist destination due to its stunning scenery, rugged coastline and abundance of wildlife.

In 1796, the British captured a French fleet in the bay and in 1816, the bay was the site of the first recorded lifeboat rescue in Ireland.
