Kolberg is a city located in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship of Poland. It is situated on the coast of the Baltic Sea, approximately 120 kilometers west of the city of Szczecin. It is the administrative center of the Kołobrzeg County.

Kolberg has a long history, first being mentioned in written records in the 12th century. In 1255, the city was granted town rights by the Duke of Pomerania, Barnim I. The city was a member of the Hanseatic League, a medieval trade alliance, and a major port of the region.

In the 19th century, Kolberg was part of Prussia, and in the 20th century, it was part of Germany. After World War II, the city was transferred to Poland. In 1945, the city was largely destroyed by the Soviet Red Army.
