Getxo

Getxo is a municipality located in the province of Biscay, in the Basque Country of northern Spain. It is situated on the right bank of the estuary of Bilbao, and is part of the Greater Bilbao metropolitan area. Getxo is bordered by the towns of Algorta, Leioa, Sestao, and Berango.

The town of Getxo is divided into two main areas: the coastal area and the inland area. The coastal area is comprised of the towns of Las Arenas, Algorta, and Neguri, while the inland area is made up of the towns of Santa Ana and Getxo. The town of Getxo has a population of around 33,000 people.

The economy of Getxo is primarily based on fishing, agriculture, and tourism. The town is home to a number of popular beaches, such as La Galea and El Arenal, as well as a number of important tourist attractions, including the Abra Marina and the Palacio de la Música.
