Port of Spain is the capital of Trinidad and Tobago and the country’s largest city. Located on the northwest coast of the island of Trinidad, the city is the second oldest in the Caribbean. It is the business and cultural center of the country and home to many of Trinidad and Tobago’s largest companies and institutions.

The city is situated on a broad plain near the mouth of the Caroni River, which flows into the Gulf of Paria.
