Lynn Canal is a long, narrow inlet of the Pacific Ocean in the U.S. state of Alaska. It is located about 50 miles (80 km) northwest of Juneau, the state capital, and is the deepest fjord in North America. It is approximately 120 miles (190 km) long and 2 to 3 miles (3 to 5 km) wide, and has a maximum depth of 2,000 feet (610 m).

Lynn Canal was named by British explorer George Vancouver in 1794 after his birthplace in England, King's Lynn. It is part of the Inside Passage, a major shipping route along the coast of Alaska and British Columbia. The canal is surrounded by the Chilkat and Chilkoot mountain ranges, and is a popular destination for kayaking, fishing, and whale watching.

The canal was an important part of Alaska's history, as it was the site of the Klondike Gold Rush of the late 19th century. Thousands of prospectors traveled up the canal in search of gold, and the area was also an important trading route for the Tlingit people.
