Bahrain is an archipelago located in the Persian Gulf, just off the coast of Saudi Arabia. It is an island country made up of 33 islands, with Bahrain Island being the largest and most populated. The capital, Manama, is located on the main island. The country is divided into five governorates, including the Capital Governorate, Muharraq, Central, Northern, and Southern Governorates.

Bahrain has a rich history and has been inhabited for thousands of years. It was home to the Dilmun civilization, one of the oldest in the region.
