Gibbs Fjord is a fjord located in the Kitikmeot Region of Nunavut, Canada. It is situated in the eastern portion of the Coronation Gulf, off the Beaufort Sea. It is approximately 82 km (51 mi) long and 2.5 km (1.6 mi) wide, with a maximum depth of around 100 m (330 ft). The fjord is surrounded by the Simpson Peninsula to the west and the Boothia Peninsula to the east.
Gibbs Fjord was named after James H. Gibbs, a British naval officer. He was the first to explore the fjord in 1839. Gibbs was part of an expedition led by Sir John Franklin and Captain George Back, who were searching for the Northwest Passage.
