Split

Split is the second largest city in Croatia and the largest city on the Adriatic coast. Located on the eastern coast of the Adriatic Sea, it is a port city and the administrative center of the Split-Dalmatia County. Split is situated on a peninsula between the eastern shore of the Adriatic Sea and the Dinara mountain range. The city is surrounded by a series of mountains, including Marjan Hill, Perun Hill and Kozjak Hill.

Split has a long and rich history, spanning more than 1700 years. It was founded as the Greek colony of Aspálathos in the 3rd century BC and later became the Roman city of Spalatum. After the fall of the Roman Empire, Split was ruled by the Byzantine Empire and later by the Venetians and Austrians. In the early 20th century, Split became part of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia and then part of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia.

Today, Split is a vibrant and modern city, with a large number of cultural and historical sites to explore. The city is home to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Diocletian's Palace, which was built by the Roman Emperor Diocletian in the 4th century AD. The climate in Split

Split in Croatia has a Mediterranean climate with hot, dry summers and mild, wet winters. In the summer months, temperatures can reach up to 30°C and the city experiences very little rain. In the winter, temperatures drop to around 10°C and the city experiences more rainfall. Spring and autumn are milder with temperatures ranging between 15-20°C and some rainfall.
