Split is the second largest city in Croatia and the largest city on the Adriatic coast. Located on the eastern coast of the Adriatic Sea, it is a port city and the administrative center of the Split-Dalmatia County. Split is situated on a peninsula between the eastern shore of the Adriatic Sea and the Dinara mountain range.
