Vila do Porto is a municipality located on the island of Santa Maria, in the Portuguese archipelago of the Azores. Situated in the eastern part of the island, it is the oldest civil parish in the Azores, and was the first settlement to be established in the Azores. The town of Vila do Porto is the administrative centre of the municipality.

The town is located in a sheltered bay, with a small harbour and a beach. The harbour is the main port of call for vessels travelling between the islands of the Azores. The town is also home to the Azores' only international airport, Aeroporto de Santa Maria.

Vila do Porto is a picturesque town, with narrow cobbled streets lined with whitewashed houses. The town was an important trading centre during the 16th and 17th centuries, and was a major port for the transatlantic slave trade. In the 19th century, Vila do Porto was the site of an important naval battle between the Portuguese and the British during the Napoleonic Wars.

Today, Vila do Porto is a popular tourist destination, with its beautiful harbour, cobbled streets and historic churches. The town also hosts a number of festivals and events throughout the year, including the Festival de Nossa Senhora do Rosário and the Festival de São João.
