Copinsay is an uninhabited island located in the Orkney Islands, off the north coast of Scotland in Great Britain. The island is a part of the Orkney Islands Council area and is the most northerly of the group of islands. It is about 1 mile (1.6 km) long and 0.5 miles (0.8 km) wide, and is separated from the nearby island of South Ronaldsay by a narrow stretch of water known as the Copinsay Sound.
