Stornoway is a town located on the Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland. It is the largest town in the Hebrides and the administrative centre of the Outer Hebrides. The town is situated on the east coast of the island, on the shores of the Sound of Harris, and is surrounded by hills and lochs.
The town has a long history, with evidence of human habitation dating back to the Iron Age. In the Middle Ages, Stornoway was an important port for trade and fishing.
