Metlakatla

Metlakatla is an Indian reservation located on Annette Island in Southeast Alaska. It is the only remaining Indian reservation in Alaska and is home to the Tsimshian people. The Tsimshian are an Indigenous people who have lived in the area for thousands of years and are the original inhabitants of the island. The reservation was established in 1887 when the United States government granted the Tsimshian people the right to settle on the island.

Metlakatla is located on the western side of Annette Island, approximately 25 miles south of Prince Rupert, British Columbia.
