Roscoff is a commune in the Finistère department of Brittany in north-western France. It is located on the western tip of the Brittany peninsula, on the northern shore of the Iroise Sea, approximately 30 kilometres (19 miles) east of Brest.
Roscoff is a popular tourist destination due to its mild climate and beautiful scenery. The area is renowned for its sandy beaches, rugged coastline, and picturesque fishing villages. The town itself is home to a variety of attractions, including the Church of Notre-Dame de Croaz-Batz, the Jardin Exotique de Roscoff, the Musée de la Mer, and the Musée des Phares et Balises.
The commune has a long history, with evidence of human habitation dating back to the Bronze Age. It was once a major port for the export of Breton granite, and later served as a major port for the fishing industry.
